![]() ![]() Can someone confirm what the cracked plastic T piece is called in the middle of the photo? The fuel injection system on my 1973 2.0 has been worked on, but this bit remains needing replacement. The spare part diagrams are a little hard to read and I don't want to order the wrong part. Car runs well but still idles a little fast. Perhaps there is a vacuum leak here. Cheers Steve |

"Stacked Elbow". Was NLA for a while, not sure if it still is or not. If so, check with 914rubber (dot-com!) for a new one.
Or you can use a Tee and a reducer (plumbing supplies work!) to get something that works the same. --DD

It's rubber, not plastic. Take it off, clean it well, wrap it with a good quality electrical tape, reinstall it, and get a new one as soon as possible.

be careful with electrical tape in our aircooled cars, Loose pieces can get sucked into the fan and end up clogging the cylinder, and head cooling fins. make sure the tape cant get loose, I am not a fan of electrical tape, duct tape etc.. in the engine bay, unless it is bomb proof to not fall off. With all the oily surfaces in the engine bay it is hard to get tape to stick to anything in there.

Try 914rubber.com . At least he'll tell you if the part is not currently available, unlike Certain Other Places in the Southeast....
