West Coast Wramble Oct. 10-14th

Had to get on board for this one:

914 SIG conducts the second inagural West Coast Wramble in Reno, NV October 10->14 2002. All 914 enthusiasts and/or Porsche owners are encouraged to attend. Tech Sessions (currently scheduled to appear: Bruce Anderson, Dave Darling, Jeff Bowlsby), 914-oriented Tech Quiz, Sho-N-Shine, Tahoe/Comstock Rallye-Tour, Big Basque Banquet, Autocross. Special room rates at Reno Hilton.

Full event details and online signup form (including secure credit card prepayment option via PalPal) at:

Southern California is _very_ under-represented at this time...
Hope to see you in Reno - i think it's going to be quite the fun event!

no excuses people, no need to have a 914 to go to show your support.....heck, i no longer have a 914 and i'm going and I know a few people that are going that don't have a running 914 yet are still showing up as well......

without your support, these events cannot be held

caravan

If anyone is worried about traveling the distance in their 914 I recommend setting up caravans from your respective area to the Wramble site (in Wreno). A caravan is a way to turn an unfortunate breakdown into an impromptu roadside tech session

I'm planning on leaving the South Bay area on Friday afternoon.

Hey, one of the many 914 Mikes. I've been around. Kinda busy, mostly just distracted. I've been reading this BBS for a few years and finally got around to registering so I could annoy people in a different forum

I may have to switch my 1/2 day off to a full day off and leave in the AM with the rest of the locals. We'll see.

Puh-lease. You make us sound like your posse or something. Oh, the dry cleaner said your shirts will be ready by Friday.

Don't you have some CARS to be working on, B?

HUm..

Have you (MikeM) been to the Chevron gas station that is at the 505/80 exit ?? I normally stop there for beer and gas on the way to Thunderhill. We could meet south bay people at this exit. Lots of room at the Chevron.

Idea's..places. ?? I can leave Thursday also. I just need to secure a damn room somewhere.

I can answer that as soon as I find out what time we need to arrive for the first dinner.

Should we meet at the Chevron around 10am on Thursday ??

We cant check into any hotel room until after noon anyway...so why head up at O'dark thirty on Thursday ??

Well?

Friday morning or Thursday? Friday morning sounds better to me, one less night to pay for at the hotel.

I will leave on Friday AM and need to be in Reno by late morning, so if that works for anyone, great, if not I go solo.

Friday morning will be the day to take off to Reno.

I have a room with Scott C and I don't think he'd care if one more person crashed there.
