Hoses under gas tank sizes
Hi, I am replacing the hoses under the gas tank, and am confused about the sizes. I know one has an inner diameter (the hose) of about 7mm, but the other is bigger. I bought 8mm hose, but it is a super tight fit, and not a good one at that. What size have you used?

9mm ID.
Unles you've got a 75-76 car, which from the description of the hose sizes you don't. --DD

According to the hose diagrams elsewhere on this site (75 1.8), 7mm for inlet and return--but 12mm from the filter to the pump!!

Hoses under gas tank
On 70' - 74s' the hoses are 7mm ID and 9mmID. The 7mm hose is the return line to the tank. 75' & 76s' use 7mmID hoses in both directins. Hope that helps!

I've always used 5/16" for the 7mm (I think it is 6.9mm) and 3/8" for the 9mm I think it is 8.5 or 9.5mm)
Can buy at NAPA or any FLAPS. The corrisponding FI clamps work also. For the 12mm I use a 15/32" Anti-Smog hose that is rated for gasoline. The filter to pump is not a high pressure line.
