Help with spindle ID.
I purchased this spindle a number of months ago and am trying to determine if it's Bilstein. I was told from the seller it's a porsche 914 spindle. I see a VW stamp on it but can not locate any ID numbers. Any help would be appreciated.

Pretty sure it's not for a 914. Bilsteins of that vintage didn't have the roll pin securing the insert in place. The part number should be fairly high on the strut, stamped into the tube.

I say that is a 914 Bilstein. It has a straight arm of the tie rod like all other 914's. 911's have curved arms. I have never seen a Bilstein that did not have the roll pin at the bottom.
