One more problem...tachometer bounce

When my 2.0 was running...the tach was bouncing rather vigorously. I replaced the points with an electronic ignition module and ever since, the tach bounces, violently at times. Is it the module and if so, can a resistor be placed in line quench the signal? Or is it controllable with an electronic ignition module. Thanks.

Here are a couple of good posts at the world. It sounds like bouncing is primarily caused either by a faulty tach or some fault in the coil, condenser, points, or even the little ball inside the dizzy. These articles talk about this including using a capacitor to dampen the problem if it's a faulty tach:
