Help
After a 5 mon. search I finallly found a good Roll Bar Pad to redo the torn, split ,one on my 73. Has anyone done this i am at a stalemate. I have all the screws out, but the sucker wont come loose. Am I missing somthing, I have tryed prying a little, but not to hard. I don't want to screw up what is behind it. Is there something I misssed? Someone here has to have do this before Thanks in advance. Dave

I removed mine to re-seal the rear window.
You've missed a screw or two, I would bet money on it. They're a PITA to get to, up in the little holes with plugs on them... And sometimes they rust in place--UGH!!! And sometimes you wind up stripping the screw heads--double UGH!!! --DD

I thought I missed something too, but it was just stuck there! with a little careful pulling it came off. but yes, make sure you got all the screws which are burried deep in those holes sometimes!

I agree w/ DD. I got frustrated after about 30 min and ripped the sucker out. If you've got the new one, go for it. There is nothing underneath but flat metal.
