Wiring Diagram for seatbelt box under passenger seat?

My 76 914's (relay?) box (not sure what to call it) which either allows the engine to turn over if you have the seat belt on or not turnover if you don't has been working for the last 10 years but has now suddenly stopped. I fear some wires have loosened up or came out of the box and was wondering if anyone had the diagram to put them back. Checked Pelicans diagrams but didn't see it. Any trouble shooting tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Arrow bypass that troublesome relay

junk it - just bypass that damned troublesome relay

the diagram is on page 174 of my old 1976 edn Haynes manual

- probably the same or a close page in your Haynes manual

Haynes - Owners Workshop Manual(s)

I was under the impression that the Dreaded Seatbelt Interlock Relay was only present on 74 and some 75 914s. Double-check to make sure that's what you have--there would be two boxes plugged into the little panel under the seat; one is the "door ajar" buzzer, and the other would say "LOGIK RELAIS" on it.

If you do have the latter box, unplug it and toss it in the bin--or at least into the pile of "probably never need this again" spares. Then splice the two fat yellow wires (one may have a red stripe) together, and protect the splice with shrink-tubing to keep water out of the joint. That will disarm the system completely, and it will have no further effect. The other wires that go to the panel can be ignored, as they won't be doing anything any more.

Not sure why I have it on a 76? Anyway will take your advise and jump it out today. Don't want it to act up in the middle of a trip. Many thanks.

The seatbelt interlock system with the logic box under the passenger seat was on all 1974-76 914s.

The seatbelt warning system (with the 4 pole 'fasten seatbelt' dash light) was on the 1972-73 914s.
