I ass-u-me that the CO meter is placed at the exhaust, right?
Sure hope this isn't a dumb question but I searched the posts and found nothing to address this. Also, does the meter need to be for automotive service or can the non probe meter be used? Found one of those expensive ones for $200 that measure from 0 to 2000 ppm. bruce

In the exhaust, yes.
I don't know about automotive rating for the thing. It should be capable of withstanding some fairly high heat, though, as the exhaust in the muffler is not very cool. 2000 PPM is about 0.2% if my math is correct. I think that's too low for our use, we want to try for something more in the 0.5-2.5% range. And I'm not sure if the percentage spec is by weight or volume or what... --DD
