'76 2.0 with a surge/miss

My '76 has a consistent miss/surge between 2800-3600 rpm in all gears. I have replaced plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, points, rotor and the trigger points in the bottom of the distributor. Could a worn throttle switch be the culprit?

Yes, it could be. Unplug it to check. The motor runs fine without the switch plugged in, it just won't accelerate for crap. If your surging goes away with that, then the switch is probably at fault.
