Is this easy to read ??
I hate this method of "cars for sale" Rennlist starting using it a year or so ago and the number of views dropped in half. Do you like this ??

Oh.. BTW. I'm asking the 914 group this question because I want to put together a nice 914 classified's site and I'm looking for suggestions/feedback.

Hey Brad,
This is crap IMnotsoHO... A good listing would be: Model....Year....Engine....Color......Asking ------....----....------....------....------- 914/4....1973....2.0........Orange......3.500 914/6....1972....2.4........White......15.000 etc. That way, you can see at one glance what is offered without needing too actually read every single line Preferably you could ad an extra field for comments (ie. "rust free" or "conversion" or "parts car" or "racer" or "very nice" or "from original owner" or "well, what ever, you get the idea") HTH, Cheers, Jeroen (edited a million times to get a halfway decent table 8^) Last edited by Jeroen; 10-30-2002 at 04:24 AM.. |

I don't care for that way of listing either. Just a straight forward list of the car, color, year, engine, price and link to the pic with additional info is good. I will look at price first before my interest is piqued.....

It sucks IMHO, I prefer it set up like what Jeroen suggests. Let me see what the basic details are in the listing.

Its functional the way it is. I use it a lot. Price should be added.

My primary concern is almost always that they are sorted (or the medium has a means of sorting) somehow. That makes it easier to go through and find what I'm looking for without having to look at everything I'm not looking for as well. My .02

There needs to be an easy way to upload or link-to (seller) and view (buyer) pics.
Selling used cars or parts without good-quality pics is bu!!****. Another feature that is a "must have" to get repeat eyeballs is the ability to save searches or programmable alerts/agents. For example, have the server keep an eye out for new listings of 73 2.0's within a certain price range, geographical region, etc. Recycler.com and eBay have this capability.
