Sticking Parking Brake...tricks, tips?
I have instructed a few drivers on the track in 914's but just picked up my very first 914 and could use some help/advice.
I went through the bulletins and tips and seems like it might be seized up at the caliper? The lever no longer clicks after pushing button it just falls down...leading me to believe it's past the catch? The car will roll backward but feels like it's under tension. When pushing forward I can feel resistance and hear the grinding.

What year 914? The 70-71 cars had the two-piece "floppy" handle; you need to pull the lever up again and then push the button in to release the brake. The lower half of the handle may need some help at that point, as the hinge can get gummed up or sticky over the years.
You can also try to unhook the cables to see if the problem is in the caliper itself or further upstream. If it's in the caliper, that usually means the caliper needs to be rebuilt. If you don't want to tackle that yourself, send them to Eric at PMB Performance. --DD

I am getting to this weekend. Thanks for the help.
Saw the PP peeps at PCA festival of Speed last weekend. Was a great event except for my 996 3.6 grenading after 4 laps on Friday. Oil Starvation from the banking is my bet....live an learn.
