Help!!!
I know this is off topic, but I need serious adivce:
I am in NYC right now, and my right rear Shock absorber on my 90 Chevy lumina has crapped out. The fluid has leaked out the top and the shaft ahs retracted into the casing. I need to be in Buffalo Sunday Morning..... sooo, my question does anyone have any experience working on these cars? Can I limp it back to Buffalo as is? Or is this something where all driivng of the car should stop immediatly? Is this something I can somewaht easily fix? I ahve a full set of tools in the trucnk, and decent mechanical ability.... Please, anyone who has worked on this car or something simular please help me out..... Again, I am sorry for being off topic, but I have yet to be able to find a chevy board. Thanks! -Wes |

Drive it home and don't worry. You cant hurt anything. Just don't try any autocross moves with only one working rear shock. The car will be supported by the coil spring, it just may bounce a little more than you'ld like on rough roads. The rear shocks on those cars are simple bolt-on bolt-off installation/ removal.
