Weird. Now when I open my browser, Safari, instead of going to my homepage, the World, it goes to Yahoo and the World will still not open even if I type it into the search bar.
|
Don't feel alone guys. I still can't get to the site either. This sucks.:(
|
For anyone still having problems, can you ping the server and post the results here please ...
- On PC: Open DOS box and type: ping 914world.com - On Mac: Open Terminal window and type: ping 914world.com (NOTE: On the Mac the ping command won't stop by itself, after getting a few results, simply press CTRL-C to stop it) - Copy & Paste the results here :) |
I'm still having issues, though my iPhone seems to be getting it just fine. Note that I haven't been able to restart my PCs since I'm running simulations and don't want to stop them.
Here's the ping though... >ping 914world.com Pinging 914world.com [204.195.76.201] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 204.195.76.201: bytes=32 time=100ms TTL=105 Reply from 204.195.76.201: bytes=32 time=100ms TTL=105 Reply from 204.195.76.201: bytes=32 time=100ms TTL=105 Reply from 204.195.76.201: bytes=32 time=100ms TTL=105 Ping statistics for 204.195.76.201: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 100ms, Maximum = 100ms, Average = 100ms |
Andy, I am computer illiterate. I think this is what you are requesting:

Ok, so you're still getting the old IP address. That means you need to flush your DNS and/or reboot your router.
:) Quote:
|
And you're getting the IPv6 address for the server which is not supported by the site. I removed all references to IPv6 from the DNS.
Hopefully that fixes your problem, but it may take a few hours before we know ... :) Quote:

This webpage is not available
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED details The server at www.914world.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network. |
Well, i just accidentally broke the DNS entries for the sub-domains, which means none of this will work for a couple of hours ...
