Dumb question about the world

Is there something wrong with my iPad, or is the world down "migrating to a new host facility"... It was working this am, then I logged on to an outside public wifi around 1:00, that when I started getting the message...

We're currently migrating our server to a new hosting facility. During this time, the site will be offline.
914world.com should be fully functional again by the end of Sunday, November 8th.

And here i thought that would be self-explanatory ...

PS: I'm about 2/3 done copying 600,000+ images to the new server. Some 150GB in total.

Yes I did, but since it seemed to coincide with me accessing through a public wifi, I wanted to be sure it wasn't some kind of virus.

Since you didn't answer my question, but you seem to be referencing the same message, I'm going to assume it's down for the migration.

Thank you...

Andy thanks, it was, but as stated it was coincidental with something else that was odd. Thanks for all you do for the world!

In my world, that message and my quoting of it, very much constitutes an answer since it provides all the information needed to answer your question.

Not sure what else you were looking for. Especially since your initial question did not mention your fear of a virus.

With the World down this weekend I've spent less time on my PC and more time interacting with my family, getting other chores done around the house, and getting a jump on things that need to be done at work.

It has been horrible.

Thanks for all your efforts, SirAndy.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

It's working from my PC but not my Windows Phone. Must be something going on with content caching...

I get the HTTP 404 Not Found message when I try from my PC or phone so I assume the site is still down?

The World is definitely up. I'm on it right now from my PC. I just think different content providers / devices are still serving up the page from yesterday. That's my best guess.
