Carpet Kits

Hi all -
Hope you all had a nice holiday. I need to order a perlon carpet kit and wanted to get some references on companies some have you have used. I know this has been posted on the the board, but my search isn't finding the thread. Thanks for the help!

I have been happy with Original Fit Interiors. He is in the process of moving from Calif. back to Oregon. His old number may refer you to a new one, if not let me know.

I got an after market carpet kit from AA years ago. It was pretty cheap, good quality and had a med/light grey color that really brightens up the interior. Don't know if AA still sells it or if anyone would even want to chance AA right now.

You didn't want to order your kit from Pelican?

I emailed PP but didn't hear back. I am doing a GT interior and need a felt/perlon kit and the ability to get extra yardage for where the back pad used to be, the headliner, and the upper dash area.

Try emailing Tom. tom@pelicanparts.com Since he's one of the owners, he tends to be pretty good at getting back to people...

I installed my own carpet kit. With the way that the 914 is set up it was pretty easy. My local interior shop sold me the carpet, I used a backless carpet that is very pliable. I've done this in the past with Beetles. The total cost including the adhesive was less than $50.
