Clutch cable removal
I'm attempting to rebuild my pedal cluster, but I'm having difficulty removing the clutch cable. In PP 'Pedal Cluster Rebuild' tech article, it mentions that 'the clutch should be attached with a small cup-like coupler that can be simply snapped off of the ball on the pedal cluster.' I can't find the cup-like coupler, but instead, I found some kind of pin and u-shaped connection. How do I disconnect this? Does anyone have any pictures?

watsonrx13,
The u-shaped connector (#10 in picture) wraps (locks) around the threaded shoulder of the cable end (#9). It should pop off - pivoting on the pin. Then the pin slides out of the arm (#34). Sometimes you may need a small screw driver to pry the u-shaped connector up. That releases the cable from the cluster. The snap-off ball is for the throttle cable (on the 914). I think this article tried to cover other models, but there may be some slight differences. The picture below is of the 914 cluster. I've followed that particular article, so it does work. Keep at it.
