Name that Part

I think I finally found my own vac leak on my 74 2.0 with djet. On Dave Darling's diagrams the second pic at the bottom of the page for the What's the name of the Fitting that looks like a "Bold F" that fit's to the D Jet. Both Hose's goes to my decell valve. Well mines badly cracked. Any sorce for this part. I am new so forgive me for not knowing the name. Also, I will get some pics of the toy soon. Thanks in advance. Ferg.

I believe the technical term for that fitting is "thingy" although most of us 'ole timers refer to it as a "do-hickey".
hope this helps :-)

BTW, I don't have one but I would be surprised if someone on this list doesn't ship you one for the cost of the postage.

Stacked Elbow

Auto Atlanta has them, Pelican and Porsche do not. It's called a Stacked Elbow, part number: 022 129 637B. They cost $25.00
Check out the AA catalog, (sorry Pelican) and be carefull.

The 'F' fitting is NLA I guess as I tried to get several years ago as have others I know. I finally made one from several vacuum fittings and hose I bought at a large NAPA store since they had tee, x and other fittings and some for different size hoses. Good luck.

Yup, what John said.

Unless you need the original looks, you can use a "T" and a step-down adaptor that you can get at your FLAPS. Or you can even fake up something using brass plumbing supplies if you like your local Home Debit better than your Friendly Local Auto Parts Store.

Thanks for all the great info, this site is great. This little car has made me smile since the day I bought it in late August. Can't wait for track days next year. Ferg

I am so glad that I finally figured out what "FLAPS" is, I was close to asking.

I usually refrain from mentioning it here, but since it was brought up, really many parts for my car came from there, (dad bought stuff there years and years ago) and they have always been very helpful to us.
