I have a 1.7 case which I want to make a 2.0 out of it. I need to know a good place where to send the case and heads to do the machine work to open the case and heads .

The case needs no work to be turned into a 2.0; they use the same case.

Any decent machine shop should be able to fly-cut the heads to fit the 2.0's cylinders. Note that the 1.7's valves are smaller, the ports do not flow as well, and the spark plug location isn't as good as the 2.0 heads, so it probably won't perform as well as a stock 2.0 does.

New heads can be a viable option, but they won't be cheap. The type4store sells new castings that are set up to 2.0 specs, for instance.

I don't know off the top of my head who is good with 914 heads right now. Obviously Len Hoffman at HAM, but I think he is mostly building those new heads now. If FAT in Orange CA is still going, they are an option. Likewise Headflow Masters somewhere in Southern Cal. And you may have reasonable options available to you locally.
