Lower control arm crack
I have a crack in my left front arm. Maybe an eighth of an inch from a curb mishap.
I'm thinking I need to replace it since the cars used for autocrossing/ track days. I thought I'd check here to see if it could be welded. ![]() Pic is shot from top of control arm |

It's mild steel, it can be welded. But it is a very good idea at this point to check inside the stamping for rust. Cut out any suspect metal and replace with good metal.
If you get a used trailing arm, you'll want to inspect it carefully as well. --DD

The A arms are the same for all years. The only difference is if they have ( and if you need ) the sway bar drop link U shaped tab.
