1973 seat belt light

one more small problem when i release emergency brake seat belt light comes on when i have the seat belt on when i lift my butt off the seat light goes out

You could bypass the circuit under the passenger seat. There are two large yellow wires. Just connect them together to bypass the circuit. Lots of pictures and details on this on 914world. Just do a search.

That is for 1974 cars (and some 75s), and specifically for the starter circuit interrupt.

The solution in this case is even easier--there is an electrical plug that goes into the bottom seat cushion. Find it and unplug it.
