Okay,
I have been looking at a car which, according to the seller, needs a new engine. I have been scouring the internet searching for someone who sells either a 2.0 or 1.8 ready to drop in. My price range is somewhere in the $1500 range. Anyone have any sources for engines? I know a rebuilt 2.0 is upwards of $3500, and that is a little too far out of my budget. Help!!!!!

The Pelican 914 Parts BBS may have some listed. The 914 Club (http://www.914club.com) classifieds probably have some listed.
And elsewhere. Someone posted a link to Craig's List for a 1.7 engine (still in the car) in the SF Bay Area. --DD

Well Mr Billy, since you don't want email - here's the message - If you haven't bought one, Glenn Sager is in possession of a supposed 2.0 L upgrade on a 1.8. It was built by CarCraft in Riverside, CA and never run or installed in the car. A gentleman named JB owns it and as of last Saturday was going to sell it. I believe the price was near $1100 (based on the receipt) Glenn is a914luvr@earthlink.net - send him an email if interested.
