Bowlsby,

The person for Peter to get in touch with is Brian Clearihan who runs the Australian 914 Register. He is also in Melbourne on Ph 03 9699 1411 or in NSW Max Preen on 02 6363 6961. I will email him in any case.

Regards,

Howard

RHD!?! The dash alone would be a feat unto itself, but the pedals and the e-brake!

Naah, pedals and e-brake are easy.

Pedals: Use a pedal cluster from an RHD 911.
E-brake: Weld a stud onto the right-hand inner longitudinal. Mount the handle there. Drill holes and weld in tubes for the cables, symmetrical with the way they went on the LHD 914s.

Dave,
It isn't quite that easy. The forward bulkhead of the 914 is not symetric. There is little room on the right side for pedals. Making the bulkhead symetric then makes the gas tank obsolete. Obviously, it can be done but not with bolt in parts.

Yup. I was specifically talking about the e-brake handle and the pedals, though. Someone reminded me that you also have to put a large "dimple" in the longitudinal to make room for a hand going around the e-brake handle.

Oh, speaking of which, it might be a nice touch to replicate the small dimple in the side bolster. The driver's seat should have a little dimple in the outside of the outboard bolster, again to make room for a hand on the brake handle... Tough to spot, though.

The dash, front firewall, and fuel tank are the toughest parts.
