Anyone in Eugene OR, and know this car?

Hello,

Many of you may have seen the recent Ebay ad for a 914 in Eugene OR. DOes anyone know about the car, or is anyone in Eugene that can go take a quick look at it for me?

Here is the ad:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/.....=2402577000&rd=1

Thanks,

You might ask the folks on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pacificNW914 .

I know that Jamie, Bleyseng, and Camp Counsellor Craig all stop by here sometimes, but you can reach more of them on that list.

I got to talk to a few list members who actually went to see the car in person and talked to the owner. That with aditional information, I was able to get a good idea of the car and was able to make a good decision without taking the long trip.

Good upfront research can make the world of difference.

Hello everyone,

I made an offer to the guy and he did not accept it, so the car is available to anyone who wants to make an offer.

It's a 1975 2.0 with Webber carbs. The fenders are a bit wider than the GT, very wide but done very well I was told. And it truly has very little or no rust. It would be easy to put on 1970 chrome bumpers. Though I actually Like the 75 onse better. (Call me a freak, that's okay

There are a lot of little problems, like all 914s have, but all are easily fixable... But it has been garaged since 1978 and well taken care of. If I lived in the area I would have offered more, but I am too far away, I have to ad in plane tickets, trasportation and such in the mix and that makes it really expensive.

It is a very nice car. I don't think its $6,000 nice, but its up there. So it would be a worth while endevore for someone who is closer.

Thanks for all that helped,
