wipers question/problem

when i hit a bump or use the turn signal, occassionly the wipers will go on for a single pass then stop. Any clues on how to trouble shoot/repair this? Is it likely its the relay?

I've heard that this is a fairly common problem with the 924 and that it's generally caused by your switch being corroded.

The 924 switches look quite similar to the 914's, it could be the same problem. Try cleaning the switch and its grounds.

If you have intermittant wipers (flick wipe), Hussey's 700 tech tips says the problem is a loose lower left grounding screw on the wiper switch assembly under the steering wheel, what ever that means.

Looks like you might want to pull the wheel and see if you can find anything loose in there.

Good luck,

Phil
