spark plug 'Reading' question
Hey gang,
I'm still working on a hesitation issue and have a question. Upon reading my spark plugs, the inner 2 cyl are running leaner than the outer 2. With or without connecting the O2 sensor. The outer 2 plugs are reading richer. I just pulled and flushed the injectors and replaced seals and hats, but the hesitation is still there. I marked and switched injectors, moving the inner 2 to the outer just to see if the problem goes with the injectors. If not , any ideas what would cause the 2 inner to run leaner? If I connect the O2 sensor then its apparent that the 2 inner cyl are running too lean, which is probably why I have the hesitation. |
You may have a mainfold leak where it bolts to the head.

Second the leak, check the manifold bolt torque, if they are the same the problem persists, put on new gaskets and retorque. Make sure the flanges are very clean. Even a small bit of trash can cause irritating problems.

Ditto the above motion...

Thats what I thought also, I retorqued the bolts and pressure tested the intake today with 15psi and sprayed the intake flanges with soapy water. No leaks. The only leak I could find was around the electrical connector on the cycling valve.
