Rear Wiper Blade Question / no pin on replacement

86 944 Turbo, needed a new rear wiper blade, bought the Porsche genuine blade # 928-628-218-02. Car has original rear wiper arm on it.

Old blade on car has a seemingly non-removeable pin on the side of it, that goes into the side of the rear wiper arm. New blade, no pin.

I don't seem to find blades with pins anywhere(genuine or aftermarket). Surely I'm overlooking something stupidly simple here.... Anyone have ideas?

On my '87 924 I used a small nut and bolt to hold the assembly to the arm. I repainted the whole wiper assembly and the MacGyver is holding up and looks as good as an assembly can.

Thanks @swennydawg - very Macguyver indeed and I had the same thought. However - there's got to be a real way to do this without buying a new wiper arm (later style with the clip instead of the pin)

i pressed the pin out of my old wiper quite easily and reused it

thanks @RedCarGuy - I guess I'll try that. I tried to remove the pin but... will give it another go.

How did you manage to press the pin out? Mine is very very fixed to the wiper blade frame

support the edge and use a hammer or rig up a clamp with a socket underneath. it isn't welded in there, it will come out.

Is the pin in two parts? As the bit in the centre sandwiched between the frame of the arm looks a bigger diameter than the pin part that sticks out?

:(I didnt get a rear wiper on my 86 951...:(

I look at things like this in the following manner: It had to get put together, so it has to come apart. Can it be pressed through from the larger side, i.e., apply pressure to the thin end?

Push on the small diameter side as universeman says. The pin is one piece.
