New to forums, need info on Phone Dials.

First and foremost, I was recommended to this site by a friend of mine. Great site, great forums, a lot of good info.

Second, I'm looking to purchase a set of Phone Dials, prefereably in a 16" size. They aren't going on a Porsche (sorry guys) they're going on my 96 VW GTI. Mainly what I'm looking for is the range of sizes, widths, offsets, and weights of the wheels that were made in this style.

If anyone knows this information, or has a link to a page with this info I'd really appreciate it. I'd like to find somewhere in a 7"- 8" wheel. If they're light enough, they may become my auto-x wheels as well.

TIA!

alex

Might as well post a pic as to what the possible outcome will look like from this. Sorry for the bad res, it was done in Microsoft Paint.

The wheels in the pic look dark grey for some reason. They'll be the original silver when I put them on.

Not to everyone's liking, I know. But still, better than the ADR's that are on right now. 27lbs for a 17X7? That's 3 kinds of wrong. Regardless, I'm just working on a Porsche collection right now, the 911S engine in my basement... well... it needs some friends. I think the Dials will suit it well.

Does the 96 Gti have the 5X130 bolt pattern? If not, good luck getting any porsche wheel to fit. I've seen old beetles with Fuchs on them that look pretty cool.
Again not sure what the bolt pattern is.

I take that back, i do know what the bolt pattern is. Or what it should be. I believe the older golfs had the 4x100 bolt pattern, but the newer ones have 5X100, so phone dials probably won't fit unless you had some sort of adapter.
Porsche has a beefy bolt pattern!

I've seen it done already so I know it will fit.

My guess is it they use an adapter, which isn't very safe and it isn't even legal in PA.
