making my 944 faster

My question is? I have a 86 944 (naturally asperated.) I have done a few performace things to my car such as k&n cone air filter and a throttle cam upgrade but lokking for more parts. I am planning on getting an exhaust system for my car. There have been alot of good and bad things said about getting a performance chip for your car but I will be the one to test this theory out..The only problem I have had is there isn't anyone around that make a chip for my car...Do you guys in the water cooled world have any suggestions or know of any other things I could do to make my car faster.. if so please let me know it would really help.
