Interior Console/Feature upgrade

Wanted to know if you all have tried to install the rest of the buttons (options) from Porsche into the center console. Right now mines has three buttons but I see there is room for more.....are these options or add ons to forget about because the original owner never ordered them with the car or can I retro in the factory (options) buttons and make them work of course...how hard would it be or it is not possible to add them in because the original owner never order them. And if this could be done does anybody have a list or can point me in the right direction to find out what those empty slots was meant to be for? Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Of the 6 slots, I've only ever seen 5 of them in use. They are (from left to right) the sunroof switch, rear wiper switch, mirror changeover switch, central locking switch, the blank one and on the far right the speaker fader.

However, one of those slots is also used for the cabriolet top switch on cabs. But if you have a cab, you wouldn't have the rear wiper option so you're still left with only 5 in use.

Iirc from a previous discussion on here the 6th switch space is used in ROW spec cars for the headlight aim control switch (M605), which I think was mandatory in some Euro countries.

Edit: I just checked in Euro PET and I was correct in recalling it was the headlight aim system. I suppose you could retrofit it if you’re any good with electrical wiring, looks like it’s a simple motor and switch likely wired to a dedicated unused space in the fuse box.

#22 is the speaker fader. It's the balance control for the front and rear speakers (moves the sound front and back). I'm pretty sure the wiring is standard so dig behind the console for the plug and plug one in. Certainly easier than adding a headlight aiming system.

The blank spots on the right are so the switches can be moved to the right side for RHD cars, leaving the blank spot(s) on the left side.

Nope it’s not that but you’d imagine it was. RHD cars had the switches in the same place as LHD cars, also the right most switch location is different to all the others so it cannot be interchanged.
