Well... i've been forced to do it now
I've been putting off sealing the front of the engine for too long i suppose. I was stopped at a light this evening and i see billowing smoke from my hood.
After much cursing i get to class and let it cool down then take it home after. Again smokescreening tailgaters ![]() I check to find the oil leak and it seems to be coming from the underside of the #4 exhaust manifold pipe. So i'm thinking the head gasket has finally cracked. If anyone knows what else this could be, please let me know. But at this point it looks like a tear down this weekend. *sigh* Ah well. Time to grab the haynes manual and study. That is all

i believe there is a gasket on the back of the valve cover/cam housing....3 bolts i think...supposedly that always leaks...and perhaps is running down your engine

I know it's not the rear cam housing gasket cuz that's brand new. It is possible that the balance shaft housing is leaking, but there's really no significant leak there when the engine isnt running. I have to have a good look at it this weekend. Can't tell from the topside. Time to get the brake wash and a flashlight.
