Porsche Crest How much would you pay for???????

1986 951, new(less than 20 miles) belts, rollers, intercooler piping, all new hoses. cracked windshild. few barely noticable rattles at idle but they go away when car moves(motor mounts maybe?) 100% stock, never modified, babied for at least last 3 years. (my friend test drove it and the guy was getting ansy cause my friend pushed her a little) Original paint with few marks and chips decent interior, flawless phone dials. Thanks.

how many miles? How is the clutch? Was he nervous because he babies the car, or because it drives poorly when pushed? 4500? no way, smashed turbo's go for more, but 9 might be steep. Give us some more info.

OOPS it has 113000 miles. My friend said the clutch grabbed really but I don't know if its stock clutch or not. I think if my friend could afford another car or sell his he would buy it. He said it drove like no other car he had ever driven. The guy selling the car was like...."be easy on my baby" cause my friend was chirping tires when he shifted. My friend said the guy acted like he babied the car.

Umm yea that would have worried me as well, patching the tires is a great way to ruin your ring and pinion on the 944 transmission. I would have discontinued the test drive at that point.

Yeah, chirping the tires would have worried me too, sounds like a nice car, is it located far away or something? You should really go drive it and get a ppi, if all checks out an 86 turbo in good shape should bring 9-10?

Don't overlook the cost of the windshield. I just had mine replaced a week ago. $460. Sight unseen it's hard to judge, but I'd figure mid 7's to start, go higher/lower depending on PPI results. I hope that sounds reasonable.

I'm always suspicious of cars that have been "babied" but have obvious and easy to fix problems like a broken windshield. If he takes such good care of the car, why doesn't he fix the windshield? Reminds me of those e-bay ads where they tell you how great the car is with just a few "easy fixes".

Found another 85.5 N/A for sale.. it's nice.. motor is an 87.. the usual suspects were done when the motor was dropped it.... owner wants to buy a jeep, says he wants something more versatile.. car is really clean.. seat covers on the seats though.. windows were up and car was locked... no roof manual locks.... umm.. color is Dark grey Metallic, (what ever that color really is).. looks clean.. sits well, new Dunlops all around.. If I was looking for another N/A I'd buy it, it is nice..has service records... nice guy too, I have his number if anyone is interested..
