erratic idle
16V "S" model. This seems to be a rare breed. Runs great as long as i have my foot in it. at idle it seems to fluctuate with the RPMs. I've tested the vacuum with propane and did not get any results. I'm not convinced that is't a vacuum leak. It takes only a few minutes before it runs smooth. I have replaced the manifold temp sensor back in the day. what else can cause the fluctuation in RPMs I'm not trying to replace the O2--- Sensor. It was done three years ago. Any thoughts?

The idle control valve can be removed, tested and cleaned. Worst case there are replacements from other marques which are compatible and a lot cheaper. It should be under the intake near the throttle body.
If it's sticky and grungy, soak the business end in something that'll cut the carbon and it'll usually perk up. They can be tested with a 9v battery or similar.
