Won't start when while engine is warm

Hi,
My 1978 924 (40,000 miles) will typically not start while the engine is warm. It starts great while cold. However, during a period of a few hours after running, the cockpit smells like gas and when I attempt to start it, it turns over and immediately turns off. Almost like it's been flooded, but I did not press on the pedal. Then it takes quite a bit of cranking to get it started. Does anyone know which part needs replacement? I think it might be either the fuel accumulator or the cold start valve? Not sure though. Your response is most highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Rodolfo

Replace your fuel pump check valve and re-test.

The main 924/944 mailing list at www.rennlist.org recently covered diagnosing a 924 hot start problem. Have a look there!
