944S2 "Ignition Final Stage" Module

I am finalizing an engine swap in an '88 944. I have installed a low mileage M44/41 S2 4-Valve Engine in place of the M44/09. Following the prints,I have installed all required Electrical Mods for the swap including the S2 DME Unit. I am one component short. The component is listed as "Ignition Final Stage". Is this a factory CD Unit? What kind of signal am I sending to this Module from the DME? Can I use an aftermarket CD Unit? Any help would be appreciated. I'm ready to fire it up!

After doing some research I have answered my own question. The Module in question is Porsche PN. 92860270601, IGN. CONTROL UNIT. The unit is basically a signal amplifier. It takes a low power ignition signal from the DME, amplifies it and sends it to the coil.
The Ignition Control Unit requires a special Heat Sink Mount (Porsche PN. 035905357A) that dissipates heat from the unit. When installing the Control Unit to the Mount, a special Heat Transfer Paste is used to allow heat transfer from the Control Unit to the Heat Sink Mount. Another consideration is the requirement for a shielded cable connection between the DME and the Ignition Control Unit. The shielded cable is identified as a dotted line following the cable connection on the print. The shielded cable minimizes transient voltage induction (Electrical Noise) into the low voltage signal from the DME to the Ignition Control Unit.

I installed the unit, wired it, tested it and started the car. The car runs great!! I'm ready for my next Engine Swap Adventure.
