Bridge Rear Hatch Gasket Gap?
The rear hatch gasket on my '87NA is in great condition...except for the very common shrinkage which leaves a two inch gap at the rear. Seems ridiculous to buy and install a complete new gasket when a two inch piece to bridge the gap would/should be adequate.
Anything like a short piece of the same profile gasket material (or some reasonable substitute) available...which I could trim to length and install to bridge this gap? |

Yep, that's what I do when I encounter the problem... It helps to have a bunch of old gaskets hanging around.
Send me $5 and I'll ship a three inch piece to you...
