944 Turbo wheel offset
Hello all,
I have an 86 944 turbo and would like to install a set of D90s on it. I found a nice set with tires. The wheels I am looking at are 16 x 6 et52.3 front. Rear are 16 x 8 et52.3. Will these fit and fill out the wheel opening without adding spacers? Thank you |

No, you will need spacers. Your '86 is an early offset car.

Not to mention the front wheels are too narrow and the car will understeer if you push it much. Stock is 16x7/8”

Don't put late offset wheels on an early offset car! Really you need to go for the early offset wheels for that car. Look out for some 7/8 fuchs or 7/8 phone dials. the early offset deep dish phone dials look very nice.

I thought about putting my rear d90 on the front (8”) and buying some 928 d90 on the rear (9”) for that stockiest look! Not so sure about tire size availability however.
