Idle Speed 944T

What shout the idle speed be on a 944T? Mine seems low and is really noticable when AC is on.

I believe the proper idle speed is around 900 and 950. It usually will drop a little lower when the AC is on, but not too much.

The AC units seem to draw a lot of power from the four cylinders. My rpm drops somewhat with the AC on too. I had a vibration with the AC on, but it's pretty much gone after installing new motor mounts.

is there any way to bump up the idle? When my AC is on, and i push the clutch in when coming to a stop, the engine almost dies before it finally catches itself, and jumps up to 750-800 rpm. My idle is normal with the AC off, it's only a problem with it on.

Turn the little brass bolt on the throttle housing to do it.

My 944t does idle under 1k RPM's and does have a ruff time when I turn on the air conditioning, but doesn't die on me. Well i am glad that it isn't only mine. Any fixes would be great.

Under the hood, on the passenger side right in front of the battery is a sticker with some information on it. The correct idle speed should be on there. Good Luck

Yea, mine also dies when I push the clutch in with the A/C on. I am glad it doesn't stall though!
