Slicktop Headliner Source

Anybody replaced a headliner on a non-sunroof 944? Wondering if there's a source for good replacement headliners.

If you're feeling creative you could pursue an idea pictured here: https://www.pinterest.com/shadowsofthesun/car-headliner-ideas/

My preference would be to buy some Porsche fabric and affix it in place of the old stuff. It's not uncommon to see custom headliners being featured at car shows, however.

Have you looked at Classic 9 leather shop?

I recently bought one of their headliner kits for my sunroof car. Just have to take it to a local upholstery shop to get it installed. They are responsive via e-mail and maybe they have a pattern for a non sunroof car or can just not cut the center out of the vinyl. ??

Wasn't aware of Classic 9 Leather. I appreciate the lead, and just sent them an email. With the non-sunroof cars, the headliner backing has fabric hoops that hang over metal rods. I rehung one on my old SC, by just gluing new fabric over the old hoops, but the 951 has some tears in hers.

Just put in some nice seats, and now the headliner is my focus.

Indeed! Not my term, but I kinda like it. Non-sunroof, sunroof-delete, slicktop. I like that it has no sunroof.

Just drove the 951 to the NC mountains, and she didn't miss a beat... almost 500 miles. I traded into this car, sort of, from an air-cooled 911 project. Still lust after the 911's but the 951 has really grown on me. It's a dark horse kind of car, which is just so friggin cool. I'm looking forward to the day when someone wants to race with their old 911.
