O2 Sensor Wire ?

Who knows how many wires the OEM O2 sensor has for an 85 n/a? Mine is cut & only has 1 wire....Carparts.com is saying 3-wire OEM...Anyone know for sure? Thanks as always!

I know the 85 and a half's and newer have 3 wires but I thought 83-85's have 1 wire but not sure. Shaun has an 83 I think so if his is 3 wire, yours would be too. Look at the connector coming out of your wiring harness near the firewall.

Hmmm, it could be one or three depending on if your car was "California" smog equiped.

The three wire is a pre-heat version that gets the smog guys happy really quick.

we have an early 85.5 from washington state with a signle wire. Our 86 is a CA car and has the three

"europroducts" shows a single wire (www.911-944.com)

"GR German parts & Resto" (www.GRParts.com)have a single and a three wire.

you may have to refer to your VIN to determin what your smog equit package is and tehn choose

Hey guys
Just cross referenced a Performance parts catalog, although they dont specify how many wires they have, I'm guessing for $40 - it's a 1 wire sensor -- FYI
