How to open the oil screw for the gearbox on a 924?

WOW, who would have thought that some one could make something that sounds easy; hard.
Its almost impossible to open the screw for the gearbox oil check. "Something", I dont remember what, is in its way and I cant get any key in there. Anyone who has any idea or how do you open the "screw"? The distance from the obsticle to the screw(6 edge, internal)(Dont remémber the english name) is about 1˝ inch i think.

HELP!!!
Who knows if my tranny is out of oil!!!

the oil screw is a 17mm hex plug.

you will need a thin profile hex wrench to gat at the plug.

It will likely be a stinker to get out, and likely to crack the hex. I "back it up" by clamping a curved jaw Vise Grip wrench on the outside of the plug to reduce this possibility. I have seen more than one of these buggered.

Hear that giggling in the back of your head, thats Hans the engineer who put that bolt there, that snickering you hear is Otto the guy in charge of putting bolts in really tight.

Working on these cars for a while you learn to hate those two guys.
