Weird Engine

Hey guys take a look at this engine. A friend of mine just bought this car off of ebay. It's an 86 944. Compared to my 85.5 engine, this thing looks a lot different. And I know mine was not the one that was screwed up.

What's so weird about this engine?

Yes it's beat to hell, has a few parts missing, and a few non-Porsche replacements, as well as broken parts, but what's weird?

Well weird may not be what I should of said. I was just trying to make sure I wasn't wrong about the parts I thought were missing. I didn't see a coolant resvoir or a airfilter housing. I am not the most mechanically inclined person so I didn't want to tell him something and be wrong. You see anything else missing?

Well.. It looks like the lights are missing and tha battery and the latch mechanism for the hood(not sure though) also it looks as though the relay thingy has been torn to peices.. (there is no board in there).. does anyone agree that the fuel rail looks funny? oh hehe it looks like it has a throttle response cam though... how much did he pay for it... is the rest in good condition? did the owner say it runs? as the photo was taken i know for a fact that it is was not in running order.... unless they moved the battery to the back for some odd reason.... mabey it runs now cuz it was restored and the owner restored it but the pic was taken before restoration... laters

I own a 944 S, so it does look weird to me. On another note, I was standing outside my apartment and heard the awlful sound of a crash. I heard tires squeling and then a loud thug. I am sure this is a common sound on us 19 n on a friday night. Now I hear sirens. Just to say, keep it on the track, and don't drink and drive!!!
