ever notice that the cars that will get you action are the cars that are impossible to get action IN?

ronin 06-08-2003 06:00 PM

THE IRONY!!! :D

Considering that my girlfriend just asked me the other day if I ever did the "wild thang" in the backseat before and I assured her "Naaaah! I would never do that!" Little does she know that it wasn't for lack of trying but rather a lack of space!!

CJFusco 06-08-2003 09:12 PM

well there's still "road head" I guess :) that can even happen in a 550 Spyder!

ahh cj fusco
ever the subtle lad

CJFusco 06-08-2003 10:03 PM

well my experience is that subtlety and tact usually fall flat because... well, because people are generally idiots and don't grasp subtle humor.

Speaking of, I accidentially took out a mailbox when I was 16 and...umm...

Well, anyhow, I know better now and am now a much more attentive driver.

I think the story is a line of BS about the downshifting. He said the engine caught fire but that's a pretty clean engine compartment for the aftermath of an engine fire. I think the thing just blowed up...blowed up real good.

ronin 06-09-2003 08:52 AM

The "fire" was probably all the smoke of the engine being encased in oil after the "big blow"

Brando 06-09-2003 07:16 PM

I feel bad for the guy. But doing something as dumb, it's sort of deserved....

Nabeel 06-09-2003 08:14 PM

Let's see: the doofus redlined in every gear until he got to 5th, then decided he wanted to go back to fourth? No matter what, he would still overrev the engine in that scenario. This fellow brought this mess upon himself.

In other news- did anyone else notice the Porsche 'turbo' badge on that back of an Eclipse in someone's sig on that site?

ronin 06-09-2003 08:55 PM

No I didn't!! That's funny. Where is it?

wannaberacer 06-09-2003 10:06 PM

sad, even eclipse's are ricing out. This ricing disease doesn't seem to be going away...just getting worse...soo sad.

and as for that guy's rsx, he's a big idiot. But like all of us when we're young, we do stupid things and he just happened to get screwed. Can't help but feel bad for him. Maybe he'll get a type-r motor from japan... it bolts right in and is probably cheaper than getting a used motor from the U.S., not to mention the potential with a turbo.

wannaberacer 06-09-2003 10:15 PM

here's some more horror pics, although not that bad.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/gsrpiston.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/gsrpiston1.jpg

I'm surprised his clutch didnt act as a weak point??? or is that just something that my clutch would do in it's current state....*

(it's pretty worn, for those of you that CJ was talking about)

Look at the pic in the signature of 'invaznGST'. Its a black Eclipse with a Porsche-style turbo badge on the back, between the tail lights.

ronin 06-10-2003 10:15 PM

GOT IT! Took me a minute to find it, but I did. Makes me wonder if they're really trying to fool someone.
