Steering column play / loose 1978 924
The steering column is "loose" and has some play in it, anyone know what could be the cause of this?

My 83 had a worn plastic column bushing that was the cause

I was reading up on some other threads and found the missing piece, the black plastic sleeve, when I pulled that off I was able to see that the inner plastic support ring had disitegrated. Looks like they used the same plastic as the odometer gears...
