Simple digital clock bench test.

Bench testing the replacement clock. Modified a trailer light plug, insert brown wire to ground, #31. Green wire to power, #30. Clock works!

I probably would have used alligator clips, but your tester is pretty creative.

Yeah, I grew up that way working on Jeep Wranglers years ago, building them with junkyard parts. Used what I could find, and I here, I didn’t have alligator clips!
