I would not own my 944 if it wasn't for Pelican Parts & this Web and BBS. I have had every problem that I have had with this car solved with help from this BBS. I also Buy the majority of my parts from Pelican not only to support this board but they have great prices and they go out of their way.I ordered a bunch of clutch parts and was driving up to pick them up one of the parts had been out of stock. Darren called a local dealer and made sure that they had the part in stock and reduced my bill by the diffrence in price from Pelican and the porsche dealer. This is way over the top service. Thanks again Darren and I hope all goes well and that you guys can keep it up

Wayne, This has got to be the best BBS for information on repairing and maintaining Porsche's on the net. I've asked many of the fellow members for advise on adjusting, finding, or tuning items that I can't find information on anywhere else, and they always come up with exactly the information I need. Keep up the great work and thank you all for your support in keeping this site an active and sometimes very entertaining one as well!

This BBS has litteraly saved me hundreds of dollars. Rather than going to a mechanic to have my questions answered, I can post it here and have many answers for free. And from that I learn that much more about my car. Thanks to all of you.

(interesting)opinions & (entertaining)comment and "testosterone" (need more estrogen). As a newby 924 owner-driver I've gotten some tips here that calmed my nerves on car issues & a couple hints for troubleshooting. Thanks. |
This BBS has been SO helpfull. The Pelican Parts website is great. The people involved with this BBS are great and I sure hope it stays for a long long time.

It's a great BBS which I checked out for two months before I bought my 944. It gave me the confidence that I could get answers to my questions that the shop manuals might not be able to provide. And, for those "bottom line" type of folks, I've purchased many parts based on the input from this board.

Yes this BBS is excellent. This BBS seems to best one where 944/924 owners get along good out of all the lists I have seen. The people here make this board, and the people are great, so the board is great as a result.

The whole website, and especially the BBS are fantastic!!! It has given me a lot of useful information, as over here in the UK there isn't a lot going on with old 944's.I am currently restoring mine from a bare shell, and this site is a must for me!!

Sorry I missed this one. Hope it's not too late to help out. Here is a previous post I submitted in another reply...
"...My radiator sprang a leak (mind you my 944 is my only car and I live 20 miles from work) and I told them my situation. (Vertex)promised it'll be shipped the next day. I called them 10 days later and (Vertex) said it'll be shipped the next day. Meanwhile, 2 weeks in a foreign country bumming rides to work. This similar situation happened to 2 co-workers of mine... By the way, PP had the radiator to me in 5 days...Los Angeles to Naples Italy. That's service...After all when was the last time you called Tom, Wayne, or any of the other Pelican Parts guys and they didn't spend an extra few minutes on the phone trouble-shooting or giving advice that saved you time and money. This world is coming too far to the Walmart/RiteAide/Radio Shack where the only goal is to either provide crappy service for the promise of a 25 cent savings or to get your money and kick you out of the door. I have officially (personally) put Vertex in the Walmart index. From now on I am going to use Pelican Parts, Ma & Pa's Pharmacy, and Joe's Hardware where I know my questions will get answered and my concerns are addressed by the owner instead of being transfered to some snot-nose at the complaints department." Pelican Parts is by far the best Porsche supplier I have dealt with. I've used them since they opened shop and will continue to use them almost exclusively. |
