Engine loads up and backfires
 

This drives me crazy: If I run a fuel system cleaner like techroline through I get about a tank of gas before the engine starts to load up again. Tune Up and gas line cleaner are only temporary fix for this problem.

I'm thinking throttle position switch or the screwball air flow meter.

Help!

Does the techroline contact the TPS or the AFS?

Try fuel pressure regulator and fuel dampener.

Also the fuel filter.

Then start checking for vacuum leaks and bad engine to chassis grounds.
