1982/83 924 Euro Front Struts

I need some help decoding the options to determine what strut cartridges I need. Just bought this 924 Euro right hand drive car. It's titled as a 1982 but vin decodes as a 1983. I don't want to buy the wrong stuff first time out. I can decode a couple of the options but not two. Those are (what looks like) C70 or maybe C73. Hard to tell. And E27. Looking up the parts it shows sport or non sport suspension. I wouldn't think this car has sport suspension but I'm an old parts guy and don't like making mistakes! Any insight would be appreciated.

I doubt they'd be any different than US spec, at least in replacement.

I'd be comfortable recommending the Bilsteins; have had very impressive life out of mine on crappy Detroit roads ('82 931) and the race models on the '79 NA racecar...

The difference is in the strut housing and insert. Sport struts use a shorter threaded insert compared to the standard Boge/Sachs setup. If you order the wrong cartridge, they simply won’t seat correctly.

The Porsche catalog for 924 show either Koni or Boge style cartridges.

My 1987 924s has rebuildable front struts. The top cap is threaded and when removed, you can change the fluid. Whether these are original or not, I don't know. I'm guessing probably not but that's what's there.

You'll know once you've removed the top.
