best way to change burgundy dash to black?
944 with burgundy interior and owner wants to change to black, what is best way to change color of dash?
Dash swap seems not feasable any dye process, any kits available, can a detail shop or body shop do it? Of course it has to look factory when done. And how much cost? thanks

Dash cover, dash carpet, dash paint... I don't like any of them.
I am thinkin dash leather. There are no aftermarket ''covers" made but I have seen a few jobs that are done by the right shop and look phenominal.

Here's my idea, sell it and buy one with a black interior. The work required to change is more than it's worth IMO. And besides, I think it would look like crap if you didn't take every peice out and replace it with a black one.

That looks great, thanks! How does the dash look a year or 2 later? Any bleed through, or fading? Does it require re-apply to keep it looking good?

FR Wilk is right, SEM is a phenominal product! Be sure to follow the directions to the letter, and use a good silicone remover/prep wipe before applying, and it will exceed your expectations every time.
I did my rear spoiler just today. It is the ONLY vinyl/flexible parts paint I use, and I have been using it for years. No bleed through, and it does not chop or scratch away like inferior products. I had a '85 Corvette a few years ago, and while the seats were in excellent condition, they were faded. I removed the seats, prepped them, and dyed them (it is NOT paint) with SEM. They looked excellent two years later when I sold it. We get 95+ degree days here in the summer, and the targa top was always off. The car was not garaged. Good Luck!
