no "check engine" light?

I noticed that there were three empty warning lamp positions behind my oil pressure/volt meter gauge. They were covered with round decals but the decals came off. Shining a flashlight through I saw that the center one was the "check engine" light. I'm assuming that I should have a "check engine" light. Is that correct? I've looked around for the bulb fixtures but I can't find any. Does anyone know where to get them? Thanks.
