bad noise under car
Today i was driving my 944 out of the driveway and i backed up pretty quickly as i did back up i heard what sounded like a pole smashing another pole underneath. Then as i drove down the street the was another loud banging sound underneath at all different times like shifting, accelerating etc. I asked my dad who is a mechanic and he said it sounded like a broke axle but im not sure the car seems to shift fine what could it be?

sounds like something that should be lubricated/move freely (ie an axle, CV joint) is catching and then snapping back loose again.

Clutch. Rubber center has split apart and the safety ears are hitting each other.
